She recognizes muscle groups that have limited range, or where one side is weaker than the other and targets those areas in each session. I’ve worked with Amie in in-person and virtual sessions. To me, virtual sessions are an excellent replacement for in-person training. “Amie has been a revelation as a Pilates teacher. She has a diverse and interesting repertoire of exercises and uses very uncomplicated language and clear analogies to describe the sequences of movements. This makes for lovely smooth, precise movements targeting exactly the muscle groups that the exercise aims to recruit.
In her one-on-one sessions, Amie assesses her client regarding ranges of movement, flexibility, and symmetry, and identifies weak or tight areas, areas of asymmetry and overworked or underworked muscles. Through this assessment, she can guide her client through a program that focuses on rectifying these problems. As a physiotherapist, I can vouch for her accurate diagnostic skills.
